LOS ANGELES -- Animation schools should not abandon their classes in traditional hand-drawn techniques, according to one of Pixar's ace animators, Jim Capobianco.

That sounds paradoxical because Pixar is famous for computer-generated 3D animation with mega-hits such as the Toy Story series, Finding Nemo, Cars and now Ratatouille. But, even at Pixar, artists are going back to the old ways, Capobianco says.
